About Dr. Bach-Kim Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis (1990) and her Doctor of Optometry from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry (1995).
She took over Walnut Creek Optometry Group from its founder, Dr. George Hurd, in 1997 and has cared for patients in the Bay Area ever since. She practices the full scope of optometry, including comprehensive eye exams, advanced contact lens fittings, eye disease treatment, vision therapy, and co-management of LASIK, PRK, cataract, and glaucoma care. She speaks English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
In 2024, the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society recognized her as their Optometrist of the Year.
