Why co-management matters
Refractive and cataract surgery aren't standalone events — they sit inside a longer arc of evaluation, surgery, and recovery. Co-management means your local optometrist and the surgeon share the work, so the same eye doctor who knows your history before surgery sees you for the visits that follow. That continuity is good for your eyes and easier for you.
The evaluation phase
We start with a complete eye exam to confirm that you're a good candidate for the procedure you're considering — looking at corneal thickness, dryness, prescription stability, and general eye health. If something rules out one surgery but opens the door to another (PRK instead of LASIK, for example), we'll talk through it.
Communication with your surgeon
Your records, measurements, and any concerns get sent ahead to the surgeon so the consultation focuses on what matters. After surgery, your post-op visits happen with us — and any complications or questions come back to your surgical team through a single, coordinated channel.
